[MarignyBywater] Public meeting to discuss the recent comments by state representative John LaBruzzo

-This meeting concerns LaBruzzo's proposal of voluntary
sterilization of low-income women and men as a solution to poverty
and the so-called dependence on welfare.

-We would like to challenge this blatantly racist, sexist and
classist "solution" to poverty with an open discussion that
works towards:

1.) Exposing the systemic causes of poverty
2.) Highlighting the massive corporate welfare bailout that will
put many more people at risk of becoming impoverished
3.) Fostering dialogue on alternative concepts of economic justice
that embraces diversity and equality.

In an economic and political system that inherently divides us, it is up to
us to overcome divisions and begin building the world we want to live in.
